Schmalz Handling Set ECBPi

The Schmalz Handling Set ECBPi is a ready-to-connect gripper system for cobots and lightweight robots. It combines an electric vacuum generator with a modular end effector and is suitable for airtight and slightly porous workpieces. The set contains all components for quick assembly of a complete vacuum gripper and enables intuitive commissioning via the URCap.

Description

The ECBPi handling set was developed for applications that require a compact, energy-efficient, and compressed air-free vacuum solution. The electric vacuum generator creates the vacuum directly at the tool, eliminating the need for hose lines and significantly simplifying the setup. Thanks to the bayonet lock, the VEE end effector can be changed or expanded with additional suction units without the need for tools.

The system features IO-Link and digital signals for monitoring the process. In addition, the integrated NFC interface allows status data and parameters to be read and adjusted via smartphone. An integrated venting function enables workpieces to be deposited quickly and precisely.

The included flange plate and connection cable make the set immediately ready for use with UR cobots. It is suitable for pick-and-place tasks, handling cartons or plastic parts, light packaging processes, and logistics applications with varying workpieces.
